Hey Bull Dogs – and Bull Dog parents, teachers, friends, and relatives of all ages – what are you doing on Friday, May 29thth?

Graduation Day, Memorial Day and Race Day will all be over and it will be time to kick-start your summer with a relaxing and fun Friday stroll around the Columbus Par 3 golf course with three of your favorite people!

The Bull Dog Alumni Association is holding our 3rd annual Par 3 golf Scramble tournament on Friday, May 29th. The outing raises money for Alumni Association scholarships; grants for student and teacher assistance; and our Teacher Appreciation Program.

The outing is open to all – and the Scramble format at the Columbus Par 3 Course allows golfers of all ages and skill levels to have fun and score well (especially if you purchase the Birdie package). Think about the possibilities of putting together your own “dream team”:

  • You and three friends from your graduating class?
  • A “mixed doubles” team with your spouse and another couple?
  • A multi-generational family team? (Note: weird old uncles are allowed).
  • Just you and your kids?
  • Father/son, Mother/daughter, Father/daughter, Mother/son combos?

Note:  This year students get a 40% discount on registration/lunch fees.

Not only will you get 2 hours of quality time with your foursome, but there will be time to mingle with other participants over lunch. Participants can choose to golf in the morning flight (9:00 AM to 11:00 AM) or the afternoon flight (1:30 PM to 3:30 PM).

Lunch is included in your registration fee and will be available (from the Party Chef food truck) in the Big Tent between 11:00 and 1:00.

It’s not too late to be an event sponsor for this year.  2026 Event sponsors get a full “team” package for a $500 donation with no extra charge for:

  • 4 registrations with Lunch included
  • A team Birdie package
  • A large Event Sponsor sign
  • A small hole sponsor sign on one tee box

Age-appropriate liquid refreshment will be available on the course and every participant will receive a sleeve of Bull Dog golf balls courtesy of the Alumni Association.  In addition, there will be a Hole-in-one contest, a closest to the pin contest (with a prize for morning and afternoon flights) and a new putting contest.  The Winning Team (best total score for 18 holes) for each flight will receive a valuable prize and bragging rights until our 2027 event.

We are expecting a larger crowd this year – so make sure to register your foursome soon to assure that you have reserved a spot in your chosen flight. Registration closes on May 22rd – but don’t wait until then!
