The Mission of the Bull Dog Alumni Association is to promote & support excellence at Columbus North High School for its students, faculty & alumni.
Goals:
Promote loyalty, camaraderie and school spirit among alumni, students, staff and supporters of the school through a variety of activities
- Assist with the funding of scholarships for current and graduating CNHS students
- Support the school’s various departments/groups by providing financial assistance
- Recognize and Support Outstanding teachers and staff of CNHS
- Promote communication among Bull Dog alumni and supporters
- Preserve accurate history and traditions of Columbus High School/Columbus North High School
History:
Columbus High School officially began in 1868. The school has been moved three times to different locations. Columbus High School was split into Columbus North High School and Columbus East High School in the fall of 1972. CHS became known as Columbus North.
The Bull Dog Alumni Association was incorporated in May 2008 and represents all graduates of Columbus High School/Columbus North High School. It received 501 (c)(3) Not-for-Profit status from the IRS in July, 2010. It is a separate and independent entity from Columbus North High School and Bartholomew Consolidated School District.
The Association is directed by the Executive Director and an 18-member Board of Directors (including the Executive Director). All directors are volunteer positions and on alternating 3-year terms.
