John W. Hinds Tradition in Excellence Scholarship

Former gymnasts and other alumni collaborated with the Bull Dog Alumni Association to begin the John W. Hinds Tradition of Excellence Fund – which awards a scholarship to a deserving Bull Dog graduating athlete, with a preference for a gymnast and/or a student intending to major in Education.  Mr. Hinds, former teacher and guidance counselor here, coached the Columbus/Columbus North High School Boys Gymnastics Teams to 13 state championships and 47 individual state champions in the 17 years of IHSAA competition!  He also served as an assistant coach for the Girls Gymnastics Team for 3 years. Michael P. Garber Memorial Scholarship

To honor Mr. Garber’s memory, his family & our Alumni Association have established a scholarship fund in his name.
