Spring 2023 True Blue
As part of our efforts to attract and retain Great teachers, this is the first year that the Bull Dog Alumni Association is honoring a teacher in the early stages of their career at CNHS. Students were given the opportunity to nominate a teacher in their first, second, or third year at CNHS. Using the same criteria given for Outstanding Teacher of the Year, a committee selected the teacher from those nominations.
KATIE SHELTON chose a different path to teaching than most. She received an emergency license, completed her “Transition to Teaching Program” and is now a valued Special Education Teacher. This is her third year at CNHS and is being honored as our first Emerging Teacher of the Year. Ms. Shelton received a $500 honorarium and a token of our appreciation.
